Wisely Group is proud to celebrate a significant safety milestone at Glencore’s Rolleston Open Cut Mine, with the Heavy Mobile Equipment Workshop team achieving 200,000 Lost Time Injury-free hours.
Operating in a high-risk environment within Queensland’s Bowen Basin, the Rolleston team plays a critical role in maintaining essential mining equipment. Achieving this milestone reflects a deeply embedded safety culture built on the Wisely values and reinforced through strong frontline leadership.
CEO Danny Wisely said the achievement highlights the team’s behaviours and commitment.
“This is a tremendous achievement and a true reflection of the safety culture our people have built at Rolleston. When our people live the Wisely values, and our leaders lead from the front, safety becomes part of every decision.”
He further emphasised the significance of the team effort.
“That’s fifty people, across multiple swings, making good decisions day in and day out so they can all go home safely to their families. That doesn’t happen by luck. That’s leadership, discipline, and people looking out for one another every single shift.”
The milestone reflects consistent adherence to procedures, proactive hazard identification and a workforce committed to looking out for one another. It also demonstrates the impact of strong frontline leadership in reinforcing expectations and safe behaviours.
