Goonyella Riverside Mine is an open cut coal mine in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, notable for producing coking coal of exceptional quality and purity. During a major shutdown, Wisely undertook a large scope of work predominantly associated with the raw coal system.
Wisely provided:
- Stripping Breaker Station 3 of all chute work, scalping screens, breaker barrels and associated structure and refitting with new components
- ROM grizzly removal and pulley replacement
- GTU upgrades.
Delivered over an eight-week shutdown, these works required careful coordination, safe execution and technical expertise. Wisely’s efforts improved the reliability of the raw coal system and extended the life of critical processing assets at Goonyella Riverside Mine.
