Mackay Sugar Limited Racecourse Mill produces more than 200,000 tonnes of raw sugar annually and is sustainably powered by electricity generated onsite using a byproduct of the production process. Mackay Sugar exports about 130,000 MW hours of excess energy to the national grid each year.
Wisely’s experienced electrical team was engaged to manage the installation, connection and commission of electrical and control system equipment at Racecourse Mill.
Wisely provided the following upgrades to the safety and quality of the mill’s electrical equipment:
- Modification of the new clarification switchroom/switchboard
- Removal of the ex-clarification switchboard, field cabling, local isolators, cable ladder and auxiliary support
- Installation/termination of new field cabling, local isolators, cable ladder and auxiliary cable support for the defined drives fed from the clarification switchroom.
