The JJ’s Waste & Recycling Hay Point depot is located in the Alligator Creek area about 40 kilometres south of Mackay.
Wisely was engaged by JJ’s Waste & Recycling for works at the Hay Point Quarantine Facility to design, fabricate, and install a specialised aluminium sterilisation autoclave bin for the handling and processing of marine shipping waste.
The solution was custom‑designed to integrate safely with the facility’s autoclave system, incorporating lightweight, corrosion‑resistant aluminium construction suited to the harsh coastal environment and frequent sterilisation cycles.
Fabrication was completed in‑house by Wisely’s workshop team, ensuring precision manufacturing, high‑quality welds, and compliance with quarantine, hygiene, and operational standards.
Installation was executed efficiently to align with facility workflows, resulting in a durable, fit‑for‑purpose marine waste management bin that enhances both safety and biosecurity performance at the Hay Point Quarantine Facility.
