Wisely installed a sixth tropical cyclone mooring to support tugs operating in Half Tide Tug Harbour. This project was scheduled for practical completion before the onset of cyclone season.
Wisely made key upgrades to the tug and line boat mooring infrastructure at Half Tide Tug Harbour, including the following services:
- Strengthening of the wharf through the installation of a new steel frame
- New concrete mooring blocks on the breakwater and parking area, to service a tug and two line boats
- New concrete holding blocks, chains and buoys to allow mooring of the line boats.
Central to this project was the installation of a new monopile mooring dolphin and bollards with auxiliary infrastructure, including an access ladder.
Wisely’s delivery of the project improved safety, functionality and capacity at Tug Harbour, allowing the facility to secure all vessels during severe weather events.
