Hail Creek Mine, operated by Glencore in the Bowen Basin, is a large open‑cut operation producing metallurgical and
thermal coal using truck‑and‑shovel methods.
Reliable support equipment, including standalone generators, plays an essential role in maintaining power supply for remote work areas and critical field operations.
Wisely was engaged to complete a full service, repair, and reporting scope on a Hail Creek Mine generator unit. The works included the safe transport of the generator from site with Wisely’s Tilt Tray to the Wisely Workshop, where technicians carried out a complete oil, fuel, and air system service, replacing worn and damaged seals as required.
Following mechanical works, Wisely conducted a detailed inspection across all systems, documenting findings and compiling a comprehensive fault report for Glencore’s
maintenance planners.
The completed service restored generator performance, improved reliability, and provided clear maintenance insights to support ongoing asset management at Hail Creek Mine.
