Operations at the Port of Mackay began in the 1930s. Nearly a century later, its fuel line supports are aged and eroded after years of weathering tropical storms. North Queensland Bulk Ports (NQBP) brought Wisely in to deliver an essential upgrade.
Wisely was engaged by North Queensland Bulk Ports (NQBP) to deliver the major Middle Breakwater Pipeline Relocation project at the Port of Mackay. The scope included the fabrication of a series of pipe supports, delivered by Wisely’s workshop in conjunction with and in support of our team onsite.
The pipe supports were manufactured in‑house, ensuring precise fabrication, consistent quality control, and full compliance with NQBP’s engineering, safety, and durability requirements for marine‑exposed infrastructure.
Designed to withstand the demanding environmental and operational conditions of the breakwater corridor, the supports were produced efficiently and delivered to site in alignment with project staging.
The completed components formed an integral part of the broader fuel line upgrade works, providing a robust and fit‑for‑purpose solution that contributed to the safe, reliable, and future‑ready upgrade of fuel transfer systems at the Port of Mackay.
