The Abbot Point terminal, located on the coast of North Queensland, is the most northerly deepwater coal port in Australia. It plays a vital role in the coal export industry and requires ongoing investment in safety-critical infrastructure.
Wisely provided the following services to Shiploader 1’s fire water system:
- Removal and disposal of the existing Berth 1 fire water pipeline, hydrants and fittings to enable replacement of this pipeline
- Removal and disposal of the existing fire water sprinkler system installed on Shiploader 1
- Supply, installation and commissioning of a new complete fire water main along Berth 1
- Supply, installation and commissioning of a completely new fire water sprinkler system on Shiploader 1
- Supply and installation of a new access platform, handrail, ladder and grid mesh on Shiploader 1.
Completed within a four-week delivery program, the project demonstrates Wisely’s capability to manage critical works on tight timeframes while maintaining the highest safety standards.
