Before every shutdown, our focus extends beyond the scope of work, schedules, and safety controls. We take the time to bring teams together and align on the values and behaviours that will guide how we work, communicate, and support one another throughout the project.
With people joining a shutdown from different crews and backgrounds, establishing a common understanding of expectations is critical. That’s why we facilitate the Wisely Values and Behaviours Commitment Exercise, allowing every team member to contribute to the standards that define a successful shutdown.

During the commitment exercise, team members openly discuss:
- What behaviours are accepted and encouraged.
- What behaviours are not accepted.
- How each individual will contribute to a positive workplace culture.
By creating these commitments together, our teams establish clear expectations from the outset and empower each person to take ownership of their conduct and interactions on site.
